Copyright Policy

Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan, published by the Master's Program in Islamic Religious Education, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, applies an author-retained copyright policy. Authors retain the copyright of their published articles, while the journal is granted the right to publish and disseminate the articles in accordance with the journal's publication policies.

Copyright

Authors retain the copyright of articles published in Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan. Copyright transfer to the journal or its publisher is not required as a condition of publication.

By agreeing to the publication of an accepted manuscript, authors grant Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan the right of first publication and a non-exclusive authorization to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and make the article publicly available as part of the scholarly record.

This authorization does not transfer copyright ownership. Authors retain the right to reuse their published work, subject to the applicable license terms and third-party rights.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they hold the necessary rights to authorize publication, have obtained agreement from all co-authors, and have secured any required permissions for third-party materials included in their manuscripts.

Published articles should identify the author(s) as copyright holder and state the year of publication.

Author Publishing Rights

Authors retain the right to use, share, distribute, reproduce, and archive their published work in accordance with the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Authors may incorporate their published work into a thesis, dissertation, book, teaching material, institutional repository, or other scholarly work, provided that the original publication in Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan is appropriately acknowledged and any applicable third-party rights are respected.

Where available, authors are encouraged to include the article's DOI and a link to the official published version when reusing or redistributing their work.

These author rights do not revoke permissions already granted to users under the applicable Creative Commons license.

Articles published in Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan are distributed under the Creative Commons license specified by the journal. The applicable license determines the conditions under which published articles may be shared, reproduced, adapted, or otherwise reused.

Where the journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), users may share and adapt the material, including for commercial purposes, provided that they give appropriate attribution, link to the license, indicate whether changes were made, and distribute adaptations under the same license or a license permitted by its compatibility provisions.

No additional legal terms or technological measures may be imposed that restrict the rights granted under the applicable license.

Third-Party Materials

The article's license applies to original content unless otherwise indicated. Figures, photographs, tables, datasets, and other materials reproduced from third-party sources may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions.

Authors must obtain the necessary permissions and acknowledge the original sources appropriately. Excluded third-party materials should be clearly identified in the article through appropriate credit lines or notices.

Users wishing to reuse materials that are excluded from the article's license must comply with the relevant licensing conditions or obtain permission from the applicable rights holder, unless the use is otherwise permitted by law.

Self-Archiving and Repository Policy

Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan permits authors to deposit their manuscripts in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic websites, and other appropriate scholarly repositories, subject to the applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Authors may archive the following versions:

Submitted Manuscript

The version submitted before peer review.

Accepted Manuscript

The version accepted after peer review, before final journal formatting and typesetting.

Version of Record

The final published article.

Unless otherwise specified by the journal, no embargo period is imposed on author self-archiving.

Repository deposits should identify the manuscript version. After publication, authors should include the full citation, DOI where available, and a link to the official version published in Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan.

Authors must respect any separately identified third-party rights in all deposited versions. Repository copies should also identify subsequent corrections or retractions, where applicable, and link to the corresponding journal notices.
