Author Fees and Article Processing Charges

Wahana Karya Ilmiah Pendidikan applies a transparent author-fee policy to support the publication and dissemination of scholarly research in Islamic education and related fields. Authors are not charged for submitting a manuscript. An Article Processing Charge (APC) applies only to manuscripts that have successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and have been formally accepted for publication.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication. All manuscripts remain subject to editorial screening, peer review, revision requirements, and final editorial approval.

1. Article Submission Fee

Authors are not required to pay any fee when submitting a manuscript to the journal. No submission fee is charged for editorial screening or peer review.

2. Article Processing Charge (APC)

An APC is charged only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. The applicable fee is as follows:

The APC supports publication-related services, including editorial administration, manuscript handling, copyediting, layout preparation, online publication, metadata preparation, DOI-related processing, journal platform maintenance, and the long-term accessibility of published articles.

3. When Is the APC Charged?

The APC is requested only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. Authors will receive official payment instructions from the editorial office.

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial screening, peer-review outcomes, reviewer recommendations, or the final acceptance decision.

4. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and peer-review outcomes. Publication charges are separate from editorial evaluation and decision-making.

5. Rejected Manuscripts

Publication Fee for Rejected Manuscripts: IDR 0 / USD 0

Authors whose manuscripts are rejected are not required to pay an APC. No publication fee is charged solely for editorial screening or peer review.

6. Manuscript Withdrawal

Authors wishing to withdraw a manuscript must submit a formal request to the editorial office and provide the reason for withdrawal.

Withdrawal Fee: IDR 0 / USD 0

The journal does not charge a fee for manuscript withdrawal through its official withdrawal procedure. Authors are encouraged to submit withdrawal requests promptly and responsibly. Requests involving ethical concerns, duplicate submissions, serious errors, or other matters affecting the integrity of the scholarly record will be handled in accordance with the journal's editorial and publication ethics policies.

7. Fee Transparency

All author charges are publicly stated on this page. The journal does not impose undisclosed mandatory publication fees beyond those specified in its official author-fee policy. Authors should rely exclusively on payment instructions issued through the journal's official editorial communication channels. Any changes to publication fees will be announced transparently on the journal website.
